We perform participant evaluation by using International Standard ISO 13528:2015 – Statistical methods for use in proficiency testing by interlaboratory comparison.
Objectives of Proficiency Tests
The determination of the calibration or testing performance of a laboratory against pre-established criteria by means of inter laboratory comparison.
Proficiency Testing (PT)
- PT is an affordable means to the verification of the laboratory’s capabilities of analysis.
- can be used for customer assurance.
- It provides a degree of internal confidence in laboratory results
- PT scheme is submitting a sample of material with validated known attributes, prepared in an accredited laboratory, to a comparative analysis in the subject laboratories.
- The results when submitted are evaluated and returned as a score to the subject laboratories.
Interlaboratory Tests for Proficiency Testing of Laboratories
- To get an indication of the performance of an individual laboratory or a group of laboratories as a whole
