How to apply

Procedure to create your account

After opening our website on the main page, the user has to select tab “Account”

After clicking on “account tab” the user will be directed to log in or register process.

If the user is already registered then he/she has to enter his/her credentials and proceed for log in.

Existing Users need to use credentials to log in. The user can reset its password in case required, by clicking “Lost your Password” link.

If the user is new then he/she has to create username and password by entering the a valid email address also, after clicking the “Register” Button.

Procedure for participation in PT round

  1. The participating laboratory has to choose the PT round suitable to its scope of accreditation.
  2. Visit web site OMS.octagon.co.in and click on tab “Proficiency Testing services”.
  • There will be four tabs on the page “Proficiency Testing services”
    • Calibration PT
    • Testing PT
    • PT Calendar
    • NABL Certificate and PT Scope  
  • Selection of Calibration PT
    • User will be guided to choices for Electro-Technical, Mechanical and Thermal Calibration PT rounds.
  • Steps –
    • Click on the image of the PT item, to select for participation. The user will be guided to detailed information about PT Item, Parameter, Criteria of participation, and last date of registration.

If the user meets the participation criteria, then he/she has to click button “Add to Cart”.

Once the PT item(s) added to cart click on View Cart button or symbol of Shopping back to checkout / final registration process.

If the user has been awarded discount coupon, then the user to refer to the official email for coupon code and apply it at this stage to get discounts on participation fees.

Click the button “Proceed to Check out”.

The user will be directed to fill up the form. All fields marked with * are mandatory and the user should fill the details correctly.

On the same page the user has to tick the “Terms and Conditions*” after reading it, so that payment proceeding can takes place. If the user does not tick the terms conditions, then next process will not begin.

  • The user has to click on place order button to make payments.
    • A Third-Party payment gateway is activated and with different choices, the user can pay the participation fees.

After paying the participation fees the user will receive a payment receipt on his/her registered email address. Octagon will provide final GST invoice and confirmation of registration with lab code to the registered user on his/her registered email address.

  1. Selection of Testing PT
    1. User will be guided to choices for Mechanical Testing PT rounds.

Follow all the steps mentioned above.

  1. Selection of PT Calendar

User will be able to see the PT Calendar / plan for full year and can down load this PT Plan

By clicking any image of any PT item the user will be directed to Registration page for PT round. (e.g. if user click on Mechanical calibration discipline the user will get directed to registration page of PT round related to Mechanical calibration discipline). Refer below screen shot –

  • Selection of NABL Certificate and PT Scope
    • User will be able to see and down load NABL accredited scope and certificate of Octagon Measurement Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
